#3: Identify 2 or 3 possible topics for class discussion using this blog.
Why do some countries think that women don’t have the same right as men. O r why do some people think that color has something to do with the fact that they don’t have the right to learn like everyone else.
Week Three!!!!!!!!!! Breanne Lund
A) Both girls showed incredible bravery in the face of their abuse. Explain/Compare/Contrast how both girls reacted to their ordeals.
The first girl pushed forward and tried to get in the school to spite what people thought or did to her. Then the girl and eight other students got to go into school with 1,000 soldires, but the kids in side school were still mean to her. The second girl didn’t have students that were really mean to her the people in society were awful. When there government decided to finally pass the law for girls to go to school they were treated like outcast. The girl had acid thrown in her face on the way to school one day and some people there girls home because they were afraid all together. But the big difference between the two girls is the first girl started to have a great life after a while. But the second girl will continue to have problems because there country is closed minded like are country once was.
B) How would you have handled the situation? Describe a situation in which you displayed courage.
I think that these girls were really brave and in a situation like this I think that I could be brave and just push forward. I remember when a man came up to me and ask me why I have a Jesus shirt on but the way he said it was rude. I began to tell him I am a Christian and he began to call me all kinds of names and even spit on my shirt and called me a dame Jesus lover. I just told him that my beliefs are mine and he can choose to live his life which way he wanted but I wanted to love Jesus and I walked forward away from him.
